    About the Position:
    This position is located at Department Of Defense Education Activity Capabilities & Initiatives, Alexandria, VA.

    Responsibilities
    • Assist stakeholders with problem-solving and decision-making related to training development.
    • Train functional area staff in the use of established design guidelines to create aesthetically pleasing and engaging content.
    • Develop effective work relationships and partnerships with DoDEA professional.
    • Apply the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate (ADDIE) process model implement and evaluate instructional materials and events for on-site and distance learning courses.
    • Administer web-based e-learning platforms including LMS and TMS.
    • Serve as liaison to other functional areas of the organization to identify skill and competency gaps.
    • Design and configure interactive courseware.
    • Design professional development products for adult learners.
    • Comply with laws, rules, and regulations to include copyright standards.
    • Develop standard operating procedure, processes, visual design standards and guidelines to support learning objectives, courses and assessments.

    • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

    In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

    Specialized Experience at GS-12: one year of specialized experience which includes assisting in managing and evaluating adult education programs and designing, developing, and delivering instructions to adult learners. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

    Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

    Specialized Experience at GS-13: one year of specialized experience which includes managing and evaluating adult education programs and analyzing, designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating instructions to adult learners in both online in-person formats. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Local commuting area is defined as the geographic area surrounding a work site that encompasses the localities where people live and reasonably can be expected to travel back and forth daily to work based on the generally held expectations of the local community.
