Technical Product Manager - Electric Vehicles and Battery Technology

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10 years experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Automotive, Fleet, and Technical Product Management Leadership roles
  • Experience dealing and negotiating with third parteis
  • Proficiency with tools/systems to analyze data including Excel, Access, or other data management systems

The Global Fleet and Product team’s mission is to provide the vehicles and services that enable Amazon to delight customers with our last mile operations. This role on the GFP team is responsible for owning product strategy for battery and related battery propulsion technologies. The role is responsible for evaluating both current and new battery technologies, setting up testing and evaluation procesess, designing the strategy for products and partnerships around batteries, and establishing roadmaps with our auto OEM partners.

The candidate will be responsible for:
  • Defining, prioritizing, and planning the resources needed for programs/projects to be delivered on time
  • Monitoring project execution and ensuring that the project delivery is to the appropriate levels of quality and in line with its target date
  • Working cross functionally with development, operations, and other product managers
  • The person must be comfortable with influencing internally, and building partnerships across a wide range of third party partners.
  • The person must also excel at navigating new and innovative technologies.

  • Ability to analyze significant amounts of data from disparate sources and turn that analysis into a recommendation
  • Experience leading new or start-up related projects where processes will need to be defined, implemented and iterated
  • MBA or Master’s Degree in a related field
  • Operations Management/ Management/Fulfillment Center experience
  • Experience with transportation and/or logistics
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as ability to analyze quantitatively and problem-solve efficiently
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, deadline-oriented work environment. You create order, without stifling progress and adaptation.
