Bookkeeper/Office Manager

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Perform general accounting: A/P, A/R, P L statements, Bank and CC reconciliations
  • Assist with overall company budget
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly sales tax and use tax for accountants
  • Prepare and execute company payroll via online portal
  • Prepare and execute International wires, bank deposits, and transfers between cash accounts
  • Responsible for managing office services by ensuring office operations and procedures are organized, filing systems are designed, supply requisitions are reviewed and approved and that clerical functions are properly maintained
  • Manage relationships with service providers and landlord. The position is the point person for building maintenance, ordering supplies, mailing and errands
  • Provide general support to visitors
  • Provide HR support with updates to company handbook, writing job descriptions, on boarding documents, PTO benefits and performance review scheduling
  • Maintain and review annual insurance documents and related audits
  • Provide administrative support to CEO
  • Participate in the planning and execution of company events
  • Uphold strict confidentiality with company financials, customer information, staff information and salaries
  • Maintain professional appearance during hours of operation
Required Skills
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance or office management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • College degree or higher required
Work Schedule

Full Time position at 40 hours per week. Hours of operation MON-FRI 8:30am-5:00pm in Chicago Headquarters.
